Starr Tincup Posts Record Second-Quarter Revenue
Firm Announces Plans to Add 21 Positions in the Next 12 Months.

Fort Worth, Texas (July 15, 2011) - Starr Tincup, a full-service marketing agency dedicated to the human capital management (HCM) software and services industry, is proud to announce a record-breaking second quarter. The firm booked more than $5 million in capitalized billings between April 1 and June 30, and is more than halfway to exceeding its 2011 goal of $20 million. It also announced plans to hire 21 positions in account management, copy, creative, software development and other areas in the next 12 months.
“We've enjoyed a lot of highlights in the second quarter. We've brought transcendent talent into the organization, along with several great new clients,” said Bret Starr, partner at Starr Tincup. “Our growth mirrors the explosive expansion in the human capital software and services market segment. We talk to CEOs, VCs, analysts and industry experts every day and know that there is more growth ahead, and we are staffing up to meet demand.”
The firm's continued success is due in no small part to several strategic moves, including:
- Adding leading HR blogger and thought leader Laurie Ruettimann as principal HR and social media guru.
- Bringing back HCM industry veteran Jonathan Goodman as senior engagement manager and strategist.
- Co-hosting the TLNTup party along with TLNT, I Love Rewards and CareerBuilder at the #SHRM11 Annual Conference.
- Improving the market share of many Starr Tincup clients.

Starr expects continued growth throughout 2011. “We are really bullish on this market segment, and we're experiencing unprecedented demand for branding, strategic marketing consulting and media sales. All of the building blocks in place over the past year have put us in position. Now we are ready for continued growth.”
Starr also revealed plans to change the firm's name and brand in the second half of 2011. “Obviously, we've been through some significant change and growth. Our name and brand need to reflect the firm we are today and the firm we will be in the future. Stay tuned.”
